TipStop, an online marketplace for stock trading research has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from angel investor Tushar Devidayal, a member of Mumbai Angels. TipStop will use this capital infusion to develop the product further by adding new functionalities, improving the user experience and increasing the base of analysts currently available on the platform.

Tipstop was founded by Aditya Mehta to connect retail investors with SEBI-registered brokers, analysts and investment advisors who publish research for the capital markets.  It is India’s first mobile marketplace for such research. Analysts list subscriptions to their various research products on the app that investors can subscribe to for a reasonable fee. The investors benefit by having the option to choose from a diverse list of SEBI-registered research providers in one place, whereas analysts get the advantage of having an effective platform for them to get discovered and expand their customer base.

The startup aims to revolutionize the way people trade stocks by making it more accessible, convenient and transparent for investors to buy research. With daily trading tips and real-time notifications, it puts the investors’ fear of missing out on market movements to rest.

To this development, Aditya Mehta – Founder said: “It is phenomenal that Mr. Devidayal has chosen to partner with us by coming on board as an angel investor. We look forward to building a great company not just through his funding but also his guidance and experience that comes from having built his own company from small roots to a large organization.”

TipStop has also recently been accepted as a part of Zone Start up accelerator program, which is a collaboration between BSE Institute, Toronto-based Ryerson University’s Digital Media Zone, Ryerson Futures Inc and Simon Fraser University. The accelerator houses over 60 startups and focuses on validating early stage technology-based companies.

The TipStop app went live with the product on the 6th of May, 2016. It is currently available for download in Google Play Store for free.
